{"id":519,"date":"2018-06-01T18:35:11","date_gmt":"2018-06-01T16:35:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jkmgryf.pl\/?page_id=519"},"modified":"2019-03-20T23:58:26","modified_gmt":"2019-03-20T21:58:26","slug":"historia_jkm_gryf","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/jkmgryf.pl\/en\/historia_jkm_gryf\/","title":{"rendered":"History of JKM Gryf"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"su-divider su-divider-style-default\" style=\"margin:15px 0;border-width:3px;border-color:#d9a60b\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spacer\" style=\"height:45px\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>On October 30, 1928, the \"GRYF\" Sports Club was founded in Gdynia, the continuation of which is today's Yacht Club \"GRYF\".<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Initially, it seemed that this fact would be difficult to document. In the memories of the pre-war Gryfiak\u00f3w, many events lost their focus. The dates, surnames and important moments of club life were discussed. In this situation, finding an indisputable proof of the birth of \"GRYF\" has become indispensable. Persistent search was crowned, in 1978, with full success. Because of the war conflagration, many Gdynia documents from the interwar years were saved, and luckily - the most important ones survived: founding acts and in a quite complete set. They are located in <strong>Archiwum Pa\u0144stwowym w Gda\u0144sku, w roczniku 1928, pod sygnatur\u0105 nr 124\/1367 <\/strong>. Based on these documents, we can now say with certainty that \"GRYF\" was the first sports club founded in Gdynia. It was brought to life by the builders of the Gdynia port and representatives of the community developing at the back of this port - the new city - GDYNIA.<\/p>\n<p>The list of founder members, preserved in state files on the card number 603, is not long and contains 41 names. However, there are names of people who were not only pioneers in the development of the Gdynia port and city center, but such have been recorded in the history of development of the entire Polish maritime economy. We pride ourselves on the fact that among the founders, there are such names as: <strong>Eng. Tadeusz WENDA <\/strong>- designer and Chief of Port Construction and <strong>Eng. Marian Bukowski\u00a0<\/strong>- the builder of the Gdynia port. Among the first club activists, we also find: <strong>Dr. Stanis\u0142aw Darski<\/strong> - professor and former Minister of Shipping; <strong>commo J\u00f3zef UNRUG<\/strong> - fleet commander, later commander of the Navy; directors of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego -<strong> Wac\u0142awa Wejersa i Maksymiliana Bergera<\/strong>;<strong> Eng. Antoni Garnuszewski<\/strong>- the director of the National Maritime School in Tczew and Gdynia, and the legendary one <strong>commandant s\/y DAR POMORZA - Konstanty Maciejewicz.<\/strong> They were active in \"GRYF\" in those early years as well <strong>Capt. Miko\u0142aj Domaradzki<\/strong>later captain of the port in Gdansk; <strong>Julian Rummel<\/strong> -the director of the first Polish shipbuilding company \"\u017bEGLUGA POLSKA\"; <strong>Hilary Ewert\u2013Krzemieniewski<\/strong> &#8211; \u00f3wczesny prezes gdy\u0144skiej palestry, bojownik o polsko\u015b\u0107 Pomorza. O znaczeniu i potrzebie utworzenia klubu sportowego dla Gdyni \u015bwiadczy\u0107 mo\u017ce r\u00f3wnie\u017c fakt osobistego zaanga\u017cowania w powstanie &#8222;GRYFU&#8221; \u00f3wczesnego Starosty Grodzkiego \u2013 <strong>W\u0142adys\u0142aw Staniszewski\u00a0<\/strong>and the director of the Maritime Office - <strong>J\u00f3zef Pozna\u0144ski<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Jak wynika z zachowanych w Wojew\u00f3dzkim Archiwum Pa\u0144stwowym dokument\u00f3w, inauguracyjne zgromadzenie odby\u0142o si\u0119 <strong>on 30 October 1928 at the \"Grand Cafe\" in Gdynia, at ul. \u015awi\u0119toja\u0144ska at 19.00 (Card No. 601, document No. 124\/1367)<\/strong>. Certain evidence confirming the creation of this day the \"GRYF\" SPORTING CLUB is preserved (card No. 595) denouncing the leader of the SADOWSKI investigation service for the department of safety and public order in Gdynia, who even informed about the composition of the club elected at the meeting: the president - <strong>director BGK Wac\u0142aw Wejers<\/strong>and the secretary and treasurers were employees of the then Maritime Office - <strong> Leopold Mistat and Karol Kraszewski.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Z zachowanego statutu dowiadujemy si\u0119, \u017ce pierwszy sportowy klub Gdyni jest&#8230; (kropki pochodz\u0105 z okresu tzw. \u201eW\u0142adzy Ludowej\u201d) organizacj\u0105 apolityczn\u0105 i og\u00f3lnodost\u0119pn\u0105. Skupia\u0142 w swych szeregach przede wszystkim ludzi zatrudnionych przy budowie portu i miasta: pracownik\u00f3w Urz\u0119du Morskiego, Zarz\u0105du Budowy Portu, pracownik\u00f3w kolei i poczty oraz pierwszych przedsi\u0119biorstw shipchandlerskich.<\/p>\n<p>W nowopowsta\u0142ym klubie nie brakowa\u0142o oficer\u00f3w marynarki wojennej i handlowej.
